The top bar
WrittenThe website· from BISN-6 — public header
The bar across the top of every public page. Six controls, and what each one shows you depends on whether you are signed in and whether you already keep books here.
The “not live yet” strip
BISN-13- Where you see it
- An amber strip across the very top of every page, above the bar. It reads: “NOT LIVE YET: Bisnexus is shown for exhibition only. Test around all you like, but do not use it for real books — it is not in production and data is reset periodically.”
- What it does
- Warns you before you type anything in. Bisnexus is on show, not in production, and the data is wiped from time to time. Nothing you enter while this strip is up should be books you need to keep.
- When it shows
- One thing only decides it: whether Bisnexus is live. Not who you are, not which page you are on, not how you arrived.
- What it will never do
- The bar never jumps when the strip appears. A page is drawn with the strip or without it from the very start, never drawn first and pushed down after. And the strip never goes while the warning is still true — as long as the data gets wiped, everyone typing figures in has been shown this.
The logo
BISN-9- Where you see it
- Top-left of every page. The Bisnexus mark and name, with “Financial Suite” under it. On a phone the small line hides and the mark stays.
- What it does
- Takes you home. Where home is depends on who you are: a visitor goes to the front page, someone signed in with books goes back to their dashboard.
- When it shows
- Always. Every page, signed in or not.
- What it will never do
- Clicking it never silently throws away something you were part-way through typing.
The demo company button
BISN-10- Where you see it
- In the bar, on the right. A big line reading “Demo company” and a small line under it reading “A year of books, already posted”. On a phone the same offer is a row inside the menu.
- What it does
- Opens a practice company already filled with a year of posted books, so you can see what your own books would look like before typing anything. It is a separate company of its own — its practice figures never touch anyone's real books. If you have opened the demo before, you get the same one back, exactly as you left it. If you already keep real books here and ask for a demo anyway, you get the demo, sitting beside your real company, untouched.
- When it shows
- Whether you are signed in, and whether you have a company yet. A visitor sees the offer and goes through sign-in first, landing in the demo rather than on the dashboard. Someone signed in with no company yet sees it with no sign-in hop. Someone signed in who already has books does not see it at all — a button carrying their own company name stands there instead.
- What it will never do
- Never a dead end. Every click finishes inside a working demo, or on a screen that says why not. Clicking twice quickly is one journey, not two demos.
- The keys
- Tab reaches it and Enter follows it. Enter pressed before the page has finished loading still starts the journey — the keystroke is not swallowed.
The sales phone number
BISN-12- Where you see it
- On the right of the bar. On the widest screens a small line “Call or WhatsApp us” sits over the digits. On a narrower window only the handset shows. In the phone menu the number is a full row of its own.
- What it does
- Calls or messages sales. One number, kept in one place — the footer and the contact page show the same one, so changing it once changes it everywhere.
- When it shows
- Only when nobody is signed in. Someone already inside does not need sales.
- What it will never do
- Never two different numbers anywhere on the site. Never a label promising something a tap does not do.
Sign in, Start free, and the way back to work
BISN-11- Where you see it
- The right-hand end of the bar. On a phone, the same ways in sit as rows inside the menu panel.
- What it does
- Signed out, you get two: “Sign in”, a quiet link, and “Start free”, the solid button beside it. Signed in with books, both selling controls go and one solid button carrying your own company name takes you back to work.
- When it shows
- Who is looking. Signed out: the pair. Signed in with books: the one company button. Signed in with no books yet: the demo company offer stands here instead.
- What it will never do
- The button never carries a company name that is not yours. Your own name, or the plain “Access Bisnexus” while the name is still loading. Nothing else, ever. The button works the moment the page draws — only the word on it is still arriving.

Every section on this page is one walked control. If something on the screen is not described here, it has not been walked yet — not that it does nothing.
